farewell letter

The orange ball’s adventure is over.

This letter is written by the boy who, at the age of 13, left Menorca with a backpack full of hope and a single dream: to play basketball.

Today, nineteen years later, I can say – calmly and with gratitude – that basketball has not only been my profession, but an essential part of my life. It has formed me, it has demanded me, it has taught me to fall and get up.

Badalona was the starting point of this adventure and the place where friendships were born that will always accompany me. Then many teams, many cities and many challenges arrived: Bilbao Basket, Real Madrid, Zaragoza, Benfica, Tenerife, Obradoiro and Betis. Each one left a mark. Each one was home for a time.

I have been fortunate to share a dressing room with extraordinary people, to learn from coaches who marked me, to compete at the highest level and to live experiences that I will never forget.. I have also experienced hard times, injuries, doubts and sacrifices. But even on the most difficult days, basketball taught me values that I carry with me today: discipline, effort, respect and teamwork.

None of this would have been possible without my family, who supported me from day one, when everything was uncertain. Without my friends, who were always there. And, of course, without Maru, who has been my greatest support in this final stretch, supporting me when my body said enough and my heart began to ask for calm.

Today I close a beautiful stage of my life. I leave in peace, proud of the path I have traveled and grateful for everything this sport has given me.

Basketball has given me a lot. I have always tried to give it back to them with commitment, respect and love for the game.

Thank you so much, see you always????????????
