External defeat for the Grosseto Basketball in the last round played Division 2. The Grosseto team were defeated 68-58 on the Labronico pitch Liburnia at the end of a subpar performance, with too many offensive errors in a match marked by many fouls.
The start of the match was all red and white with the Maremma players trying to impose their game, but the Labronians did not allow themselves to be intimidated with the first quarter ending 14-12.
The match turns into an exciting back-and-forth with overtaking and counter-overtaking, with the second quarter ending 33-27.
The second part of the match saw the boys of Covili and Goiorani fail to score under the basket with too many errors and the home team’s experience prevailed.
The Livorno players were better at rebounding and the Grosseto players were also a little nervous, losing contact with the result and letting the match slip away.
The Grosseto players therefore left the field with a bitter taste in their mouths for the result but with the awareness that there is still work and improvement to be done.
Pallacanestro Grosseto will return to the field within friendly walls on Thursday in the derby against Follonica Basket to try to make up for this stoppage and to resume the race in the rankings.
