TuS Geretsried’s first home games in the 2nd Badminton Bundesliga start this weekend. After the away defeat in the derby, the Geretsried team want to get back on the road to success in front of their home crowd. “Everyone wrote down on a piece of paper what they wanted to do for the two home games. Everyone wrote the same goal on the piece of paper. We then called it ‘paper goal’. The goal is: to score.” This is how player coach Oli Roth describes the joint motivational preparation. On Saturday, TV 1884 Marktheidenfeld comes to the home sports hall at 4:30 p.m. Marktheidenfeld is seventh in the table and therefore neighboring TuS. “They are one place ahead of us, but that doesn’t mean they are favorites. We can score points with our strength at home,” is how team manager Sascha Gnalian assesses the chances of success. However, it will be much more difficult to win against second-placed SV Fun-Ball Dortelweil 2 – despite our great badminton audience.” Dortelweil 2 will be a guest in Geretsried on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Both games will take place in the new sports hall at Adalbert-Stifter-Straße 14-18 (access Jahnstraße 2).
