Alejandro Rodriguez: Loan to FCA Confirmed!

After Jacob and Mondesir, a new quality reinforcement joins the Reds for the next six months! The young English striker Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez arrives at FC Annecy as part of a loan from Olympique Lyonnais.

Born on March 11, 2008 in Caracas, Venezuela, Alejandro has several nationalities: Venezuelan by birth, English and Portuguese thanks to his family origins. He notably played at Eastleigh Tornadoes FC then at the Southampton FC training center before joining Olympique Lyonnais in the summer of 2024.

International with the youth teams of England, Portugal and Venezuela, he is considered one of the great hopes of the 2008 generation and has quickly established himself as one of the most promising young attackers of his generation. At Olympique Lyonnais, Alejandro signed his first professional contract, then extended his contract until June 2028.

Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez is known for his speed, explosiveness and athletic power. A modern striker, Alejandro is capable of playing in the middle as well as on the front of the attack. This season, he has already stood out by appearing in the Lyon professional group 22 times, and he notably scored his first professional goal on January 29, 2026 against PAOK Salonika in the UEFA Europa League.

Welcome to Haute-Savoie, Alejandro!
