Offensive player signs until 2028
Eintracht Braunschweig has signed another offensive player, Aaron Opoku. The 26-year-old from Hamburg is moving from Turkish first division club Kayserispor to Hamburger Straße and has signed a contract until June 30, 2028. Opoku will be given the number 17 shirt.
Aaron Opoku (March 28, 1999; 1.86 meters) was born in Hamburg and trained at HSV. The offensive player has also played for Jahn Regensburg, VfL Osnabrück and 1. FC Kaiserslautern in Germany. Opoku has been under contract with Kayserispor in Turkey since August. The 26-year-old brings with him the experience of 80 second division games (eight goals, eleven assists) and 65 games in the third division (eight goals, 21 assists). He played 19 times in the first Turkish league in the last half of the year (two assists). Opoku is a former Germany U20 international.
Sports director Benjamin Kessel says: “Aaron is fast, dynamic and versatile – he also has a lot of experience in German professional football. He can be used variably and increases the quality of our squad. With his style, Aaron fits our game idea ideally.”
