NBA has made public the substitutes for the 2026 All-Star Game, an event that this year has its new format
The NBA has made official the name of the substitute players chosen for the All-Star Game.
Seven players from each conference were named as reserves, through a selection process made by NBA coaches regardless of position.
The NBA previously announced the starters for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game on January 19. Ten starters were announced, five from each conference.
The 75th All-Star Game will take place on February 15 at the Inuit Dome in Inglewood, California, marking the debut of the United States vs. World.

The All-Star Game will have a new format in 2026: two teams of American players and one of international players (known as the World Team) will compete in a round-robin tournament with four 12-minute matches. The three teams will have a minimum of eight players each.
This year, All-Stars will be selected regardless of position. NBC announced that the rosters (U.S. and World teams) will be revealed Tuesday on Peacock’s pregame show at 7 ET, ahead of the Celtics-Mavericks game (8 ET) on NBC and Peacock.
Now that the 10 starters and 14 substitutes for the 2026 All-Star Game have been announced, the next step in the process will be to divide them into three teams—two made up of American players and one made up of international players—that will compete in a round-robin tournament to decide the winner of this edition.
The format will include four 12-minute matches. Each of the three teams will have a minimum of eight players, and the rosters will be revealed Tuesday on Peacock’s pre-show at 7:00 p.m. ET, before Celtics–Mavericks (8:00 p.m. ET) on NBC and Peacock.
In the round-robin phase, Team A will face Team B in Match 1. The winner of Match 1 will play Team C in Match 2. Then, the loser of Match 1 will face Team C in Match 3.
Once the third game has been played, the two best teams will advance to play the final (Match 4). If after Game 3 the three teams finish with a 1-1 record, the tiebreaker will be decided by the difference in points of each team in their two group stage games.
