BSC Arezzo: Tuscan Baseball5 Champions

Arezzo, 2 February 2026 – Bsc Arezzo wins the Tuscan Baseball5 title and reaches the national semi-finals. The new season of the Arezzo club began with the positive debut in the first federal championship of a sport which, developing elements of baseball and softball, is played without bats and gloves on small fields by mixed teams with five men and women who compete in short and dynamic matches over three fifteen-minute halves.

The first edition of the championship began with a regional phase to define the best teams that, between February and March, will be able to compete for the victory of the Italian title in the Elite category. The path of Bsc Arezzo, led by coach Alessandro Fois, was opened by the challenge with Nuove Pantere Lucca which put the Tuscan title up for grabs.

The inaugural match, played in the gym of Palazzo del Pero, saw the Arezzo team conquer the entire stakes by virtue of the successes in each of the three matches played which allowed them to put a serious threat on the passage of the round which was then secured in the away return match with the fourth and final point useful to close the matter.

This affirmation allowed the athletes of BSC Arezzo to celebrate the victory of the first Tuscan Baseball5 title and, above all, to deserve qualification for the Italian semi-finals scheduled for Sunday 22 February in Dalmine in Bergamo where the best teams emerging from the regions of Central-Northern Italy will compete to access the subsequent national finals in Montebelluna in Treviso.

«The Baseball5 team of BSC Arezzo – comments Mario Cavini, president of BSC Arezzo, – brought together boys and girls of different ages who grew up in our youth sector who joined forces to best represent the city of Arezzo in the first regional and national championship.

The victory of the Tuscan title is a source of great satisfaction and, above all, of motivated confidence for the continuation of the tournament.”
