A direct competitor
The Red Devil is the starting goalkeeper this season. He played 25 matches and signed seven clean sheets, showing consistency in goal. But the arrival of Ortega changes the situation.
The German goalkeeper was a substitute at Manchester City, but at Forest he arrives as a competitor. Bad news for Sels, who had lost his place a moment before John Victor’s injury.
Another competitor but in selection
Meanwhile, another Belgian goalkeeper is doing a good job in the Premier League. Senne Lammens continues good performances with Manchester United. The former Antwerp goalkeeper saved his club several times.
The hierarchy could evolve in selection. From third goalkeeper, Lammens could move to second. Rudi Garcia will closely monitor everyone’s playing time and performances before deciding.
