Jonathan Ang played a decisive role when HV71 defeated Luleå 2–1. But Linus Omark is not overly impressed with him.
Luleå has had big problems in the power play during the season. Against HV71 it became clear again when the numerically superior team instead conceded a goal. Jonathan Ang, who later became a two-goal scorer, then scored his first goal in the match.
It was also not the first time Luleå had this happen – on the contrary, it was the fifth time during the season that the team conceded a goal with one more man on the ice.
Ang, noted for 39 points, has been a leading player in HV71’s fight at the bottom of the table and to avoid qualification. However, Luleå’s Linus Omark is not particularly impressed by him.
– I have met Ang in Switzerland as well. He always plays in the bottom team. If you want to play at the bottom, you recruit him, says Omark NSD and continues:
– He is good, fast and scores goals – but hockey is much more than that. There are better players than him in this league.
