Abbas Tajudeen in Zaria: Today’s Highlights

Today in Zaria, I had the pleasure of attending the grand finale of the North West Badminton Championship – and what an inspiring display of skill, discipline, and sportsmanship it was.

I warmly congratulated the outstanding winners and was honoured to present awards to deserving athletes whose dedication continues to elevate the sport in our region.

I am particularly humbled by the award presented to me by the organizers. It is a gesture I do not take lightly, and it further strengthens my resolve to support grassroots sports development.

I am also delighted to announce that a new Badminton Club in Zaria will be established within the next two months, creating more opportunities for young talents to train, compete, and thrive.

Furthermore, a badminton tournament scheduled between March and April, to be organized in my honour, was announced today – and I have made a firm commitment to fully support the tournament.

Sports build character, unity, and hope. Zaria is rising, and together, we will keep the rally going.
