The Durango club offered a day of maximum level technical training with Rubén Montes Tierno
ARCHERY | He Arkulariak archery club has taken a giant step in its sports training strategy. During last weekend the facilities of the Fray Juan de Zumarraga Institute in Durango They became the epicenter of national archery when host a day of maximum level technical trainingdirected by one of the most respected figures on the current scene: Ruben Montes Tierno.
The seminar, which combined theoretical sessions with an intense practical loadhad the technical direction of Montes Tierno, whose curriculum guarantees the quality of the training. RFETA National CoachTeam Manager of the national teams since 2015 and responsible for Line 1 of the National High Performance Program, Rubén contributed the experience gained in his 132 international competitions to polish the talent of athletes not only from Durango but also archers of the different clubs in Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa.
This training was thanks to a collaboration between the Arkulariak club and the Bizkaina Archery Federationthus providing continuity with the third in-person seminar taught in the province.
The training was not limited to the execution of the shot. Following the guidelines of the National Technique Program, The seminar focused on two fundamental pillars:
1. Technical and material work: Fine tuning and applied biomechanics.
2. Psychological preparation: Tools for emotional management in competition.
The event was especially aimed at improvement archers —mainly cadet, junior and senior categories of the first years— with their sights set on making the jump to national competitions. However, heThe club’s technicians were also protagonists, working side by side with the coach to absorb a unified methodology that will be applied to all levels of the school.
The Arkulariak board is optimistic about the impact of these sessions. In the words of those responsible: “We hope that this seminar is just the beginning of a long-term project. We want to create a solid and unified teaching base that allows our goalkeepers and coaches to have the best resources to grow in this discipline,” they explained from the Durangarra team.
