LILLEHAMMER – Slovak ski jumper Kira Mária Kapustíková triumphed at Saturday’s Intercontinental Cup event in Lillehammer.

She won the middle bridge in the Norwegian center by 3.1 points ahead of the Austrian Hannah Wiegel and achieved one of the biggest achievements of her career. She got in a good mood before the 2026 Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, where she will make her debut under the five rings.

“I’m very excited, I didn’t expect it at all. I had a very good feeling during the training sessions. I’m very happy that I was able to transfer the training jumps to the race as well,” stated the 16-year-old Kapustíková after her first victory in the Intercontinental Cup for the official website of the Slovak Skiing Association (ZSL).

Slovak ski jumper Hektor Kapustík advanced to the main competition at the World Cup event in Willingen, Germany. In Saturday’s qualification, he took 50th place when he landed on the mark of 116.5 m and received 64 points from the judges. The event in Willingen is for Kapustík a rehearsal for the 2026 Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
