Shortly before it starts, the sound goes out. Austria’s Chancellor Christian Stocker would be ready for his big speech on the situation in Austria, but he still has to wait. Together with a few hundred guests, mainly party celebrities, who gathered on Friday in Vienna’s Metastadt, an event center in Transdanubia – i.e. on the other side of the Danube. Stocker has now been in office for 333 days, he has announced that he wants to stay that way and that he wants to run as the top candidate in the next elections in 2029. For this to work, he needs a break. It should take place here and today.
