Who will broadcast the semi-final between Germany and Croatia?
Germany’s handball players have survived the main round and are now in the semi-finals of the European Championship against Croatia. You can watch the DHB game live and free of charge.
The main round opponents of the DHB team at the European Handball Championship in Denmark, Norway and Sweden were tough: Portugal (final score 32:30), Norway (final score 30:28), Denmark (final score 26:31) and France (final score 38:34). Germany still made it to the semi-finals, but they couldn’t get past the overwhelming Danes.
In the semi-finals, the Croatians are waiting for national coach Alfred Gislason’s team. Before the European Handball Championship, the DHB selection won its two test games against Croatia (32:29 in Zagreb and 33:27 in Hanover). Now it’s time for the competitive duel.
Handball European Championship: Both semi-final games on free TV
As in the group phase and the main round, the DHB team will contest the semi-finals on Friday in Herning, Denmark. The other games in the knockout round will also take place there. The next games and the broadcasts at a glance:
- Game for fifth place: Friday, 3 p.m., Portugal vs. Sweden – Dyn
- Semifinal I: Friday, 5:45 p.m., Germany vs. Croatia – ARD, ARD media library, Dyn

The public broadcasters continue to show all German games on TV and in the live stream. The TV broadcast of the semi-final between Germany and Croatia begins at 5:15 p.m. on ARD. The first also shows the second semi-final between Denmark and Iceland, which will be broadcast from 8:15 p.m.

The ARD is relying on the expertise of two handball world champions from 2007: Dominik Klein and Johannes Bitter are in action for the first. ZDF is once again using ex-national player Sven-Sören Christophersen as an expert.
