Sara and İlkay Gündoğan spoke after Galatasaray advanced to the play-offs despite losing 2-0 to Manchester City in the Champions League.

Gabriel Sara:
We are happy to be in the top 24. We knew it would be a difficult match. We played badly in the first half, we were better in the second half. We can take good things from the second half. We will continue to look at the upcoming matches.
This is the Champions League. Whoever comes, we will try to enjoy it and do our best.
Ilkay Gundogan:
First of all, we are happy to be in the top 24. The play-off round awaits us. Two very good teams are waiting for us. I think it will be nice and exciting.
We conceded two very easy goals. We didn’t leave City in that many positions, but they dominated the ball in the first half. Our press wasn’t very good. When we pressed a little more confidently, there were ball losses. We should have evaluated them better. We are sorry about today’s match. But we will be better in the play-offs and hopefully we will pass the play-offs.
