Champions League Play-off Draw & Dates | 2024/25 Schedule

After long months of competition, the league phase of the “Big Ears Cup” delivered its verdict this Wednesday. An extraordinary multiplex made it possible to determine the eight qualified for the round of 16 of the Champions League. The teams ranked from 9th to 24th position will go through the catch-up stage.

AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain are among them, not Olympique de Marseille, crucified by a last-second goal from Benfica against Real Madrid.

The sixteen teams will compete in a round-trip play-off with the aim of reaching the eighth place. The posters will be known very soon. UEFA has scheduled the draw for these playoffs this Friday in Nyon, Switzerland. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at noon.

The teams ranked 9th to 16th in the first round of the Champions League will be considered seeded. They will be ordered in pairs: the 9th and 10th clubs will each challenge one of the two formations 23 and 24th, the 11th and 12th will cross with the 21st and 22nd and so on.

When they have decided on their fate, the clubs concerned will be able to turn to the double confrontation. The first legs will be held on February 17 and 18. The return rounds will take place on February 24 and 25. The round of 16 is then scheduled for March 10 and 11 and March 17 and 18.
