Roma are preparing a renewed push to sign David Møller Wolfe from Wolves after their opening offer was knocked back by the Premier League side.
According to LaRoma24, the Giallorossi are ready to increase their offer in an attempt to find a breakthrough before the January window closes. Roma’s initial official bid of €8m was rejected by Wolves, who are holding out for a figure closer to €20m.
Sporting director Ricky Massara is now planning to return with an improved proposal, likely raising the base by approximately €2m to reach a double-digit figure. The Italian club is relying heavily on the Norwegian full-back’s desire to move to the capital.
Wolfe has already accepted the destination, and Roma hope his willingness to leave a side currently struggling at the bottom of the Premier League will force Wolves to lower their significant financial demands.
The success of this operation remains tied to other movements, as Wolfe’s arrival would likely provide the green light for Kostas Tsimikas to end his stint in Rome and return to Liverpool, with Nottingham Forest waiting in the wings for the Greek defender.
