After the violent clashes in front of the Olympic Stadium with more than 50 people injured, a recent crisis meeting between the second division club and Interior Senator Iris Spranger (SPD) and the Berlin police apparently produced no concrete results. All those involved simply assured that they would continue to work together to find solutions to the conflict between football supporters and the police. “We had a very good, constructive conversation with the management of the Berlin police and the management of Hertha BSC. I made it clear in the conversation that there are no lawless areas in Berlin. I will not tolerate violence against emergency services,” said Spranger on Wednesday.
