“Lekrings” of Cēsis defeats Čekavies on their own field
Another match of the ELVI floorball league for men took place tonight at the Cēsi sports complex, where “Lekrings” hosted the team “Ķekava/RB&B”. Victory with 5:2 celebrated the team of Česi, whose team was the most productive with 2 (1+1) points was Roberts Zande.
The game in Cēsis also started with three goals scored by one team – 3:0, Artūrs Jurševskis, Roberts Zande and Bruno Beķeris each scored a goal for the home team. In the 25th minute, the first goal was scored by Käkavians in the person of Rudolph Dilberg – 1:3. In the middle of the last period, both teams exchanged goals – first Jorens Malkavs scored 4:1, and then Kārlis Degins reduced the score difference – 2:4. As it turned out later, it was the last goal for the Ķekavians in this match, but Edgars Puriņš scored another goal in the last minute of regular time for the Česniks – 5:2. The home team then fought outnumbered, but the ball was thrown into the opponent’s empty goal. “Lekrings” of Cēsis won 5:2.
The best player award went to goalkeeper Markus Plūdums, who saved 31 of 33 opponents’ shots. Roberts Zande was the most productive in his team with 2 (1+1) points. Patrick Bliska was recognized as the best among the Kekavians, who did not stand out this time with results. After this victory, the Cēsis team “Lekrings” has 47 points and is guaranteed 4th place in the regular tournament, while “Ķekava/RB&B” takes 5th place with 34 points.
