Manchester United defeated Arsenal in the English Championship for the first time since 2022
Manchester United won away with a score of 3:2, with Cunha scoring the decisive goal. Carrick won his second match in a row in charge of the team

Arsenal, the leader in the English Premier League (EPL), lost at home to Manchester United in the 23rd round match. For the London club, this is the first defeat to Manchester United in the championship since September 2022.
The match in London ended with a score of 2:3.
Brian Mbemo (57th minute), Patrick Dorgu (50th) and Matheus Cunha (87th) scored for the winners. The guests scored another goal into their own goal (Lisandro Martinez on the 29th).

Mbemo became the first Manchester United player since Marcus Rashford in the 2022/23 season to score against Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool in the same championship, and the first since Robin van Persie (2012/13) to do so in his debut season for the club.
Manchester United, in January replaced Ruben Amorim on Michael Carrick, won a second victory in a row (in the previous game he defeated Manchester City) and is in fourth place in the standings.
Arsenal lost in the tournament for the first time in eight matches and are in first place with 50 points.
Since 2022, Manchester United have defeated Arsenal only once – in January 2025 in the FA Cup on penalties.
