Huesca
The Huesca team had an important game and they have carried it forward clearly, losing in only two of the seven matches played on the courts of the Alto Aragonese club. Badminton Huesca la Magia beat La Rinconada de Sevilla 5-2, as already happened in the first leg in Andalusia.
Susanna Ogden and Finh Busch led the way to victory in the mixed doubles by 11-8, 11-7 and 11-10.
In the men’s and women’s doubles, the players from Huesca Yasmine Hamza and Susanna Ogden did not fail in the women’s doubles and Alejandro Gállego and Gonzalo Isábal in the boys’ doubles. The former defeated Marta Molina and Lucía Merchán by 11-4,11-2 and 11-3 and the latter defeated Alejandro Ramírez and Ernecto Baschiwitz by 11-9,11-8,9-11 and 11-10 in an exciting match.
The singles were reached with a 3-0 for Badminton Huesca la Magia, which rounded off the victory with Alejandro Gállego’s victory over Ernesto Baschiwitz by 11-9, 11-5 and 11-10.
Yasmine Hamza fell to Leona Lee 7-11, 5-11, 11-10 and 10-11 and Sonia Martínez beat Marta Molina 11-2, 11-7 and 11-3.
In the last match Natxo Cervelló lost to Enrico Baroni in another closely contested match by 5-11, 11-7, 11-9, 9-11 and 6-11.
In the end, Badminton Huesca la Magia won 5-2, allowing them to move away from the positions of the fight for permanence and look up in the standings.
