After the transfer of Edin Dzeko, FC Schalke 04 is already working on the next prominent newcomer. The Knappen are close to signing Dejan Ljubicic from Dinamo Zagreb.
The 28-year-old midfielder is set to move to Gelsenkirchen shortly. Croatian media report unanimously that the two clubs have already reached an agreement and that only details in the contract still need to be clarified.
Ljubicic has hardly played a role at Dinamo recently – partly for family reasons – and is said to have already had positive discussions with Schalke coach Miron Muslic. The former Rapid player is expected in Gelsenkirchen at the weekend.
