The Girondins de Bordeaux players and their staff leave for their match on the 16th day against US Granvillaise. Thus, they will arrive the day before the match, in order to be in the best possible conditions. And it won’t be too much.
Three package holders
Indeed, three Bordeaux players, and not the least, will be out against the bottom of the championship.
The first is Steve Shamalwho came out at half-time of the last match against Herbiers. The Bordeaux winger has not trained all week and is suffering from knee pain. He should be replaced on the pitch by Soufiane Bahassa, who made a good start in Vendée, being a decisive passer.
The second injured and therefore forfeited for this Saturday match, is
Abou Ba. The midfielder suffers from a calf injury and the tests during the sessions this Thursday and Friday were inconclusive. He should be replaced by Tidyane Diagouraga in the middle.
Finally, the third and final package is Matthew Villette. Bordeaux’s top scorer in National 2 had a complicated week, alternating between presence on the pitch and in the locker room. He will therefore be absent in Granville.
Jan Hoekstra will be there
The Bordeaux doorman, Jan Hoekstrawho suffered from a finger on his hand at the start of the week and who did not train, will however be present. Just like Royce Openda and
Driss Trichardtslightly affected against Les Herbiers. Royce Apprentices will be, after Granville, a week of rest.
