Sebastian Samuelsson’s success train has plunged forward.
But on Thursday it stopped – really.

Olympic race in Nove Mesto, strong Swedish starting line-up and a Sebastian Samuelsson chasing first place in the World Cup.
Then it totally crashed for the men in Thursday’s short distance.
– What is happening? says Ola Brännholm.
After two shots, Samuelsson already had six blocks, and in total he finished with eight blocks, 73rd.
– Completely unsuccessful competition, this is the worst thing he has done in a very long time, says Brännholm when he states that the star did not get any World Cup points.
The 28-year-old has difficulty explaining the situation afterwards.
– I don’t have a good answer as to why it turns out the way it does, it’s small margins.
– But it is far from my level, perhaps the worst race in my career, says a disappointed Samuelsson.
Martin Ponsiluoma: “It’s flowing fast”
The remaining Swedes also had a tough time on the Czech embankment and no one finished in the top 15.
For Martin Ponsiluoma it was a total of four misses and a 22nd place
– Actually, it’s not super bad, but it wasn’t easy to stop and it’s flowing fast, he says in SVT.
The best Swede was Malte Stefansson who came through with three bars.
Eric Perrot won ahead of compatriot Emilien Jacquelin and Italian Lukas Hofer.
With Perrot’s win, he gets past Samuelsson, who is now third, in the overall. Italian Tommaso Giacomel still leads.
