AMU Sports Quota Admission: New Changes & Updates

This system of admission through sports quota in AMU was going on for the last 65 years. About thirty to forty players were admitted under sports quota in class 11 (Science), (Commerce), (Arts-Humanities) and Diploma in Engineering in the university schools.

After taking admission, the players trained under the supervision of coaches in riding, hockey, tennis, football, volleyball, badminton, basketball, table tennis, skating, weightlifting, power lifting, wrestling, athletics and cricket.

The AMU administration had banned it from the last session. The players had also expressed their displeasure on this. On Wednesday, Vice Chancellor Prof. The annual meeting of the Admission Committee was held in the administrative building under the chairmanship of Naima Khatoon.

In which the decision was taken. In the meeting all the co-vice chancellors, Prof. Apart from M Mohsin Khan, Registrar, Controller, DSW, Proctor, Secretary of Games Committee, all Deans, Provost etc. were present.

To promote sports, students will be admitted in class 11th from sports quota from the new session. A decision on this has been taken in the meeting. It has also been discussed that more and more students should reach the sports grounds. For this, students will be made aware in every situation and department.
