Santiago de los Caballeros.— The Santiago Basketball Association (ABASACA) and the Organizing Committee announced that everything is ready for the start, this Wednesday January 21of the Santiago Superior Basketballone of the most anticipated sports events for the fans of the Heart City.
The Mayor of Santiagho Ulises Rodríguez leads the organizing committee of the fair, in which the Banreserva Cup will be in dispute.
The 2026 edition will be dedicated to doctor Leonardo Aguilerain recognition of their contributions to sport and Santiago society, and will once again bring together the six traditional teams that sustain the rivalry and the spectacle: Coupes, Sameji, GUG, CDP, Pueblo Nuevo and the current champions, Plaza Valerio.
The opening day will be played with two matches from the 5:00 in the afternoon: first thing in the morning, CDP vs. Coupesand in closing, New Town vs. Valerio Squarein duels that promise intensity from the first jump to the center. ABASACA reiterated the call to the fans to support the tournament and turn, once again, Santiago into the capital of hoops and the ball.
