Romário & Gabigol: Exclusive CT Rei Pelé Interview

Romário visited CT Rei Pelé on Tuesday to film an interview with Gabigol, Santos’ number nine. Images shared by the club showed the former Brazil striker receiving Santos shirts bearing his name and the forward’s.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the recording will feature on Romário TV, his new YouTube channel focused on interviews with players, ex-pros and football staff, and is scheduled to air on Tuesday 27.

Romário’s career took in Vasco, PSV, Barcelona, Flamengo, Fluminense and Al-Sadd. He played at two World Cups for Brazil and won the 1994 title, a leading figure in that campaign.

After retiring he moved into politics, and more recently has built a digital presence through interviews and debate shows.

Gabigol, also a Flamengo idol, returned to Santos at the start of 2026 on loan from Cruzeiro. He has featured in two official matches, scoring in the 2-1 win over Novorizontino.

He missed the draw with Guarani on Sunday in Campinas due to tendinitis, but is expected to face Corinthians on Thursday 22 at 19:30.
