The football players of Arsenal London won the Tuesday match of the 7th round of the basic phase of the Champions League at Inter Milan 3:1.
With their seventh win in a row, they created a new club record in the competition and, as the first team this year, ensured direct progress to the round of 16.
Napoli did not take advantage of a great chance to win in a lineup with Slovak midfielder Stanislav Lobotka, who drew 1:1 in Copenhagen. The home team was at a numerical disadvantage from the 35th minute after Thomas Delaney’s red card.
Defending champions Paris Saint-Germain were also surprised, losing 1:2 at Sporting Lisbon.
Arsenal dobyl San Siro
The opening half hour at San Siro brought three goals straight away, when Gabriel Jesus first extended Jurrien Timber’s shot in the 10th minute.
Eight minutes later, Petar Sučič responded with a sharp shot under the crossbar from the edge of the penalty area and sent the guests back into the lead with another goal by Jesus, when Leandro Trossard passed him in front of the goal at a corner kick from Bukaya Saku.
This goal turned out to be the winner, and Viktor Gyökeres only adjusted in the end at the break for the final 3:1.

Inter dropped to ninth place after the loss, and in the final match at Borussia Dortmund, last year’s finalists are fighting for direct promotion. On Tuesday at San Siro, he also recorded his third consecutive LM loss for the first time in history.
Napoli did not take much advantage
The meeting between Copenhagen and Napoli was a direct battle for the play-offs for the elimination section.
Delaney’s sent off gave the visitors a 0-0 lead in the 35th minute and Scott McTominay put his side ahead four minutes later.
The home team equalized in the 72nd minute thanks to Jordan Larsson, who scored immediately after his unconverted penalty. Napoli is in 23rd place, one point ahead of Copenhagen, and both teams remain in the fight for a place in the playoffs, which will be given to teams in 9th – 24th place.
Paris fell in the last minute
PSG did not have the first goal scored by Warren Zaire-Emery recognized, whose accurate strike from the 30th minute was canceled by VAR for a foul.
Finally, Luis Suarez opened the scoring in the 74th minute and Chviča Kvaracchelija answered five minutes later.
However, he arranged the home team’s fourth triumph this year and a move to sixth place, one point behind PSG, with Suarez’s second goal in the match.
With a lot of absences, Tottenham played in London against Borussia Dortmund. Cristian Romero gave the home team the lead, after whose goal the visiting midfielder Daniel Svensson received a red card. In the end, the home team triumphed 2:0.
Real beat Monaco
The duel between Real Madrid and AS Monaco ended in an unequivocal 6:1 ratio, and new coach Alvaro Arbeloa led the team to its second triumph since last week’s elimination from the Spanish Cup with second-division Albacete.
In the next two duels, Olympiakos Piraeus beat the favored Bayer Leverkusen 2:0, and Villarreal suffered its sixth loss this year, failing to maintain its lead and losing 1:2 to Ajax Amsterdam.
The Dutch team won for the second time after the first five losses and is still hoping for promotion.
