The Montreal Alouettes have added the name of quarterback Anthony Brown to their trading list.

After a college career with the Boston College Eagles (2016-2019) and the University of Oregon Ducks (2020-2021), the New Jersey native joined the Baltimore Ravens.
He played in two games and earned one start with the Maryland club during the 2022 campaign.
Brown made the Ravens’ practice squad the following season. He then had stints with the Las Vegas Raiders, Arizona Cardinals and Buffalo Bills in 2024, without seeing the field.
The 27-year-old athlete played in the United Football League in 2025, having played three games in the uniform of the Houston Gamblers.
Each Canadian Football League team maintains a negotiation list of up to 45 players who are out of contract or playing in other leagues or in the university ranks.
Clubs have exclusive rights to negotiate with players on their roster, and players can be added, traded or removed at any time.
There are currently 43 players on the Alouettes’ negotiating list, including nine quarterbacks. In addition to Brown, the names of Seth Henigan, Josh Hoover, Darian Mensah, Miller Moss, Luis Perez, Derek Robertson, Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Dresser Winn are listed there.
At the start of 2026, the Montreal organization has only two pivots under contract for the next season: Davis Alexander and James Morgan.
McLeod Bethel-Thompson, Caleb Evans and Shea Patterson – all of whom were members of the ‘Als’ last season – could become free agents in February.
