Arauca, the unprecedented champion of Babyfútbol 2026, also took home the Golden Boot trophies with its scorer Camilo Falcao Botello, the least defeated hurdle with Adrien Gerard Beltrán Oliveros (he received 3 goals) and recognition for his coach Octavio Jaramillo, who stood out for his fight for these children to compete on the Marte 1 field.
Arauca’s history in Babyfútbol dates back two years, in which the preparation to be in the tournament began and, according to the coach, although they had the help of Inder de Arauca, the money for travel and lodging was not enough. For this reason, in recent months they dedicated themselves to doing telethons, collecting at the traffic lights and streets of their city, to be able to bring the children to Babyfútbol.
In this way they managed to have the budget for the first 10 days, and although on the field he encouraged them and encouraged them to continue looking for victories, Octavio, in the solitude of his room at night, could not stop thinking:
“What am I going to do to pay for the extra days?”
With the help of the few parents who traveled with their children, they began to ask for help on Mars 1 and thus collected 2,400,000 of the five million they needed to complete the payment for the additional days, since reaching the final was a reward, but also a concern.
The Tame Mayor’s Office also helped them complete the resources to pay for the remaining days until the final.
For this reason, the Arauca title, in addition to being unprecedented, has an emotional charge and a spirit of fighting and perseverance from the children, parents, coaches and all those who contributed their grain of sand so that, in the end, they could shout: “Champion Arauca, champion!”
The honor roll of the men’s branch had Arauca accompanied by Area Chica de Montería (runner-up), Alianza Antioquia (third place) and DIM in fourth place.
In the women’s category, the champion was Future Soccer from Bogotá, Formas Íntimas took the second title, while Talento Tolimense was third and Real Pasión de Funza was fourth.
The scorer was Mariana Trujillo Zamora of Talento Tolimense, with 6 goals, and the least defeated goal was in the hands of Martina Zabala Bohórquez of Real Pasión de Funza, with only one goal conceded.
In the final balance, it was recorded that in the 41st edition of Babyfútbol Colante, 372 goals were scored in 156 games played, for an average of 2.38 goals per game.
The final accumulated score for men was 258 goals in 104 games played, for an average of 2.48 goals per game, while in the consolidated women’s team 114 goals were scored in 52 games, leaving an average of 2.19 goals per game.
According to the data provided by the Los Paisitas Corporation, the final of Babyfútbol 2026 registered an entry of 1,231 fans to the Marte 1 field, who left a collection of $7,386,000, for a cumulative total of $173,838,000, resources that will be used for social works in schools in the region that have requested help.
