With the agreement signed between the Turkish Basketball Federation and Tera Bank, the new generation investment bank Tera Bank became one of the main sponsors of the Turkish Insurance Basketball Super League. The league, one of the highest level organizations in Turkish basketball, further strengthened its economic and institutional structure with this cooperation. The signing ceremony of the sponsorship agreement was held at the Turkcell Basketball Development Center National Teams Hall. TBF President Hidayet Türkoğlu, Tera Bank Chairman Emre Tezmen, federation and bank executives and members of the press attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hidayet Türkoğlu emphasized that the Turkish Insurance Basketball Super League is among the most competitive leagues not only in Türkiye but also in Europe. Stating that the success of the clubs in the European cups reveals the sports quality and institutional power of the league, Türkoğlu stated that their goal as a federation is to move this structure forward every season and to make the league quality sustainable. Türkoğlu stated that they believe that this cooperation with Tera Bank, which was established with 100% Turkish capital, will make a significant contribution to the stability and brand value of the league.
Tera Bank Chairman of the Board of Directors, Emre Tezmen, stated that basketball has a unique culture and that this culture is based on speed, discipline, clear roles and self-criticism. Tezmen emphasized that the structure of basketball, which does not hide mistakes and encourages continuous development, coincides with Tera Bank’s understanding of producing long-term and sustainable value, and stated that supporting basketball is a strategic choice rather than a marketing decision.
Tezmen stated that permanent success in basketball, as in banking, is possible by making the right decisions consistently, and said that they are very proud to be among the main sponsors of the Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League. With this sponsorship agreement, it is aimed to further strengthen the economic power and corporate structure of the Turkish Insurance Basketball Super League, while the competitive position of Turkish basketball in the national and international arena will be supported.
