Running is back. With the first edition of the 10 km of Montmartre, it is the first mass race of the year 2026.
For this first edition on the famous hill, ASO offered participants a beautiful “walk” in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. In particular, they crossed the Montmartre hill with more or less difficulty with its 5.6% which was located halfway.
The victory went to Lorea Irigaray for the women in 36′33″ ahead of Ciara Boyd-Squires Long (36′46″) and Imelda Wati (37′35″). Among the men, Gabriel Briand was the fastest, completing the distance in 31′16″ ahead of Adrien Guillonnet (31′59″) and Anthony Barrière (32′23″).
“Great race with an incredible route, running in Montmartre without anyone, it’s a treat! We’re not going to lie to each other, it’s still demanding with the difference in altitude, we feel it well,” declared Gabriel Briand.
“I loved this first edition, it’s really a success, with a course that I know well on which I had a blast! », added Lorea Irigaray.
