Chandigarh, January 17, 2026 – The All India Civil Services Table Tennis Tournament 2025–26 organized by Chandigarh Sports Department successfully concluded today with a prize distribution ceremony at the Table Tennis Hall, Sector-23.
The chief guest of the function, Ms. Prerna Puri, IAS, Secretary Sports, Chandigarh Administration, congratulated the winners of the competition and all the participants for their excellent performance and appreciated the sportsmanship displayed during the entire tournament. He distributed prizes to the winners and formally declared the tournament closed.
During the competition, tough competition was seen in individual and team events.
In the men’s singles category, Soumyadeep Sarkar (RSB Indore) won the title, while in the women’s singles category, Khushi V. (RSB Mumbai) was the winner.
Karthikeyan S in men’s doubles category. and Anirban Roy Chowdhury (RSB Bengaluru) stood first, while the women’s doubles title was won by Manisha M. and Poulami Das (RSB Kolkata).
Balusuri Varun Sanka and Paulami Das (RSB Kolkata) were the winners in the mixed doubles event.
In the Veterans (40+) category, the men’s singles title was won by Joginder Singh Bisht (CCSCSB Delhi), while in the women’s singles, Sonal Joshi (RSB Ahmedabad) stood first.
Shantanu Banerjee and Sameet Biswas (RSB Kolkata) were winners in men’s veterans doubles and Sonal Joshi and Neha Patel (RSB Ahmedabad) were winners in women’s veterans doubles.
In the team events, CCSCSB Delhi established its dominance by winning the championship in both men’s and women’s categories.
On this occasion, Dr. Mahendra Singh, Joint Director Sports, Chandigarh Administration; Shri Narayan Shashi, Nodal Officer; Dr. Bhagwant Singh, IYA; Shri Vivek Kaushik, Observer (CCSCSB); And Nalin Somani, Chief Judge was also present.
With the enthusiastic participation of civil service officers from all over the country, the tournament completely succeeded in its objective of promoting sportsmanship, physical fitness and mutual harmony.
