Jack Harrison: Fiorentina Loan & €7m Buy Option

Jack Harrison is travelling to Fiorentina today ahead of a loan from Leeds United, with a buy option of around seven million euros, about six million pounds. According to Leeds Live, he will undergo a medical shortly.

He has started only one Premier League match since returning from a two-year loan at Everton.

A switch to a three-five-two has curtailed his opportunities. Since conceding a penalty as a substitute against Nottingham Forest in November, he has made one league outing, playing at left-back that day and in both cup ties, including last Sunday’s FA Cup win over Derby County.

He has 13 appearances this season, 10 as a substitute. He would be Leeds’ second January loan departure after Harry Gray’s move to Rotherham United, and his deal runs to 2028.

Fiorentina are in Serie A’s bottom three, three points from safety.

Earlier this week former owner Andrea Radrizzani said he had advised Harrison’s camp to look to Italy in the summer, and claimed Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur had shown interest. Harrison signed permanently in 2021 after first arriving on loan in 2018.
