The fifth stage of Indoor Archery World Series 2025-2026 officially opened in Nimes, historic home of the indoor planetary archery event. They fought on the French firing lines the first sessions of the ranking rounds of both recurve and compound. Here’s how things went.
Recurve bow
The leader of the ranking, momentarily, is the American legend Brady Ellison: the American is first with a score of 593, out of 600 possible points. Classification to be defined because Tomorrowin the very early morning many other archers will arrive to complete the picture, including Mauro Nespoli and Matteo Borsani.
Same thing for women. The Czech Marie Horackvoa leads the group with her 593 points, in a ranking that will also include the Italians tomorrow Lucilla Boari, Roberta Di Francesco and Vanessa Landi.
Arco compound
The American Kyle Douglas takes the top spot in the rankings with 599 points. Among the Italians to be registered there is11th place for a super veteran like Sergio Pagni (594/600). Tomorrow it will also be the turn of Marco Bruno, Michea Godano, Lorenzo Gubbini and Marco Morello to qualify.
Among the women, however, the British champion Ella Gibson was the best, with 597 points on the scoresheet. They are in 10th and 11th place Francesca Aloisi and Paola Natale, paired at 580 points, waiting for Elisa Roner to enter the race in Nimes.
