El Lobo continues to move in the transfer market and added a new name to reinforce its offense. This is Agustín Auzmendi, a 28-year-old forward, born in Gonzáles Chávez, who arrives to provide experience and goals to the team led by Fernando Zaniratto.
Auzmendi trained and took his first steps in the rise of Argentine football, where he began to forge his career in Acassuso. Over the years, he achieved international projection and had an outstanding career in Honduran soccer, where he scored goals and gained recognition abroad, showing his scoring ability and adaptation to different leagues.
Personally, the attacker has just had a very good tournament with Godoy Cruz de Mendoza. His performance and consistency aroused the interest of Gimnasia and several teams, choosing Lobo as his final destination.
The forward signed a one-year contract, with a definitive purchase option, and is expected by the Tripero coaching staff to join the preseason at the Estancia Chica facility, where Zaniratto already counts him as an important piece for what is to come.
With this addition, Gimnasia adds great reinforcement to the forward line, betting on a player with experience in promotion, international experience and competitive presence, with the aim of strengthening the team’s offensive power for the championship that begins in a couple of weeks.
