David Granberg would have made his debut for MoDo in tonight’s match against AIK.
But now MoDo announces that Granberg will not make it to the match.
A week ago, MoDo completed a loan of Luleå center David Granberg. The idea was that he would make his debut in HockeyAllsvenskan for MoDo in Friday’s match against Oskarshamn. However, Granberg did not play for MoDo due to illness.
Yesterday MoDo then announced that David Granberg would make his debut for the club in tonight’s home match against AIK. Granberg had traveled with Luleå down to Switzerland for the CHL semi-final against Zug but would have time to join MoDo before the match against AIK.
“If nothing unforeseen happens, he will come to Örnsköldsvik on Wednesday afternoon and make his debut for MoDo at home against AIK”MoDo wrote in their social channels during yesterday.
Therefore, the MoDo debut for David Granberg is delayed
But now it is clear that Granberg’s debut in the MoDo shirt will be delayed further. With only hours left until the match against AIK, MoDo Hockey announces that David Granberg will not make it to Örnsköldsvik in time for the match due to “logistical reasons. Thus, MoDo will have to wait even longer before they can use the loan player from Luleå.
Last year David Granberg came up and impressed in Luleå. He played for himself a regular place in the SHL and accounted for ten points (6+4) in 43 games. He was also part of the entire journey to the SM gold where he scored 1+3 in 17 playoff matches. Granberg’s play also led to him taking a place in Sweden’s JVM squad last year. He was responsible for a strong tournament with 2+4 in seven games with the Junior crowns. This season, however, he has only been noted for 1+4 in 32 games in the SHL with Luleå. With the loan to MoDo, David Granbeg will make his debut in HockeyAllsvenskan.
