Alps Avalanches: 6 Skiers Dead

The black series continues. After the death of three skiers on Saturday in separate avalanches in Savoie – two victims in Val d’Isère, one in the Arêches-Beaufort resort – three others lost their lives on Sunday January 11 in the same circumstances, in Courchevel, La Plagne and Vallorcine (Haute-Savoie). The death toll therefore rose to six deaths in snow slides in the Alps this weekend, the gendarmerie announced.
