Endrick, successful first
What a first for Endrick in his new colors! Lined up from the start, the Brazilian confirmed his status as a star in the making. From the start of the match, he showed himself to be dangerous with a shot in the 5th minute, crashing into the post. Never hidden, the young striker never stopped pushing his team forward. It was he who finally offered victory to his team by scoring the decisive goal in the 42nd minute, after a superb deflection from Tolisso, adjusting the opposing goalkeeper with his left foot. Despite his young age, Endrick has already shown great maturity, not hesitating to cut the action when Lille tried to pick up the pace. A full and successful performance for the Brazilian this evening.

Tolisso omnipresent
Once again, OL were able to rely on a great Tolisso. The Lyon midfielder was omnipresent, both defensively and offensively. He knew how to speed up the game and project himself when necessary, dictating the tempo of his team. Under Lille pressure, Tolisso retained valuable balls and brought serenity to his block. His performance was crowned by a sublime assist on Endrick’s goal, a blind deflection which caught the entire Mastiff defense behind. Tolisso demonstrated, once again, that he is the strong man of Olympique Lyonnais and a true captain for this team.
Kluivert, waist patron
In line with his solid performance against Monaco, Kluivert displayed great solidity this evening. Facing a client like Olivier Giroud, he won all his duels and left no opportunity for the French. Very good at restarting, he succeeded in 98% of his passes. In each confrontation, he undermined the Lille striker, who was never able to prove dangerous. In the absence of Niakhaté at the CAN, Ruben Kluivert demonstrates the extent of his qualities and proves to Fonseca that he can count on him. A boss performance for the Lyon defender.

Bodart scuttles LOSC
Bodart can blame himself. From the 45th second, he was at fault after a confused action with Ngoy: on his way out, he was unable to clear the ball, which benefited Moreira, who opened the scoring. In the 5th minute, he was in difficulty again and saved by his post on a powerful shot from Endrick after a failed save. LOSC then always chased the score without ever being able to come back, Bodart handicapped his team throughout the match. Result: LOSC leaves the Coupe de France in the round of 16.
Fernandez-Pardo rate
Lined up for the second consecutive time in the eleven, the Belgian missed out. In the first half, he was completely absent from his team’s offensive plans. His second period was of a better level, but too insufficient for the young winger, who has accustomed us to much better. Only one shot, no successful dribble and never able to overtake Maitland-Niles: it’s too little for an attacker in this type of match. Fernandez-Pardo has been going through a difficult period in the Lille jersey for several weeks. A performance to forget.
