In San Nicola La Strada (Caserta), the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section of the Caserta Company arrested a 41-year-old held responsible for mistreatment against family members or cohabitants, threats and carrying weapons or objects capable of offending. The intervention of the military arose following a request to 112 for a family dispute. The Carabinieri tracked down the man immediately after he had threatened to kill and attacked his cohabiting wife, a 38-year-old, also with a baseball bat and in the presence of his youngest daughter.

Subsequent investigations made it possible to frame the episode in a broader context of aggressive and oppressive behavior carried out by the man towards the victim starting from December 2024, when the woman decided to end the marital relationship. The victim had not previously filed complaints for similar facts. At the end of the formalities, the arrested person was taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison to await the validation hearing.
