Rijeka Young Players Join Mavrince – Ivković & Kreilach

Damir Kreilach is in charge of all Rijeka players who are on loan, says Grobničan sports director Kristijan Štimac.

According to the agreement of the clubs, Lukas Murica (2008), Marino Miškulin (2007), Petar Pfeifer (2007) and Leonardo Draguzet (2007) have been training with the Grobničan team under the leadership of coach Marko Čop since Friday.

The old news is wrapped in shiny cellophane since Tomislav Ivković and Damir Kreilach came to Mavrince together with four young Rijeka players.

– Tomislav Ivković came as the head of the Rijeka football school, he eventually decided together with the Rijeka leaders that four young players should join us. Damir Kreilach is in charge of all Rijeka players who are on loan, he is the person in charge of contact between Grobničan, Rijeka and players who are on loan, says Grobničan sports director Kristijan Štimac.

The presence of Ivković and Kreilach at the first training session of the four young players indicates that Rijeka raised its cooperation with Grobničan to a higher level after the clubs signed the contracts.

At the beginning of the season, Rijeka also loaned four young players to Grobničan (Dominik Thaqi, Lovro Kitin, Lukas Murica, Dominik Velin Mrvčić).

Not that they did not come to Mavrince accompanied by someone from Rijeka, but three of them (Thaqi, Kitin, Murica) did not come to Mavrince at all.

Two standard strikers left Grobničan (Grgić, Dukađin), is the roster closed?

– It’s not! For now, we are satisfied with the completed, especially double registrations of Rijeka players. It is possible that by the end of the transition period we will strengthen with one or two quality players, says Štimac.
