Atlético Nacional played two preseason games against Águilas Doradas at the Guarne Sports Headquarters, as part of its preparation for the start of the League, which will begin next weekend. The team opted for an offensive game, with good associations and clarity in the definition of the plays, always with the intention of assuming the leading role.
During the two games, the participation of reinforcements such as Milton Casco and Nicolás Rodríguez stood out, as well as the good performance of several youth players, who left positive feelings for the season. The first match lasted 70 minutes and was focused on tactical and strategic analysis between the starting rosters of both teams. In the first game, Águilas Doradas won 1-0, in a result that took a backseat to the football conclusions left by the match.
In the second game of the day, the Green team defeated Águilas Doradas in the second match of the preseason day, played at the Guarne Sports Headquarters and lasting 65 minutes. The meeting included the participation of the club’s youth players, supported by experienced players from the professional team, and left good feelings in the collective functioning.
From the beginning, Atlético Nacional showed high intensity, control of the game and correct expansion of spaces, relying on offensive midfielders to generate constant danger. One of the protagonists in the first minutes was Harlen Castillo, who saved a penalty in the 5th minute, an action that sustained the team’s emotional momentum. At the end of the match, Jhojan Amaya scored from the penalty spot to make it 1-0.
