Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro has at times feared military action by the USA against his country. US President Donald Trump told him in a phone call “that he was thinking about doing bad things in Colombia.”said Petro in an interview with the newspaper El País. Petro said that the events in Venezuela had made him worried that he would be personally affected. Asked whether he feared that he would suffer a similar fate to Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro, who was captured by US soldiers and brought to the United States, he replied: “Without a doubt.”
