In the match that pitted the strong teams of two conferences in the NBA against each other, the Denver Nuggets managed to defeat the Boston Celtics 114-110 on the road on a night when the stars were not playing.
The match played at TD Garden, in which both teams were without their superstars, witnessed a great competition. Nikola Jokic in Denver Nuggets and Jayson Tatum in Boston Celtics did not play due to their injuries. Having gone on a 14-0 run in the last part of the match, the guest team Denver managed to leave the field victorious 114-110.
On the Nuggets front, Jamal Murray took on the point guard role perfectly. While the star player scored 22 points, he constantly fed his teammates with 17 assists and became the architect of the victory. The surprise performance of the night was Peyton Watson. The young player became the top scorer of his team with 30 points.
On the Boston Celtics side, Jaylen Brown’s 33-point performance was not enough to prevent the defeat. Brown could not get the shots he wanted from the free throw line at critical moments of the game. Even though Neemias Queta broke his career record with 20 rebounds under the basket, the Celtics could not prevent their opponent’s comeback in the last quarter.
