Norman Bassette’s loan to Reims was not remembered. The Imp left earlier than expected.
Last summer, Coventry loaned Norman Bassette to Reims. In Champagne, the former Mechelen striker had to gain playing time under the orders of Karel Geraerts. But unlike ThΓ©o Leoni, Gaumais did not succeed in winning.
Despite a goal in his third match in Ligue 2, Bassette quickly lost his place at the top. He has not started a championship match since October 17 and was not included in the last match against Annecy.
A transfer was being prepared, and it took place: while Reims had negotiated a purchase option, Norman Bassette left during the season. The loan was broken, to better rent it again in Kaiserslautern.

Six months to get back on track
The native of Arlon will therefore finish the season in the German second division, also with a purchase option (his contract at Coventry remains valid until June 2028).
Kaiserslautern is currently seventh and has been looking towards the top of the table since the start of the season. For his part, Bassette is exploring the second division of a third major championship in a year, will the Rote Teufel finally offer him a little stability?
