RODEN – Last Saturday, sportsmanship and solidarity came together in the De Hullen sports hall. The young people of the World Servants Action Group Roden organized a sporting event to raise money for their construction project in Rwanda. A fantastic amount was raised with football and gymnastics clinics for the children and a fantastic sports tournament. 90 participants played gymnastics, football, volleyball and badminton.

The nine organizing young people from Roden will travel to Rwanda next summer to build three new classrooms. At the current school in Kabarondo, children are still in overcrowded classes, which hinders good education. By rolling up their sleeves this coming summer, the young people want to offer these children a fair chance at a better learning environment. The action group therefore organizes various actions to raise money. The proceeds from the sports tournament and sports clinics go to the construction project.
