This Sunday, January 4, the day after Senegal’s victory against Sudan in the round of 16 of CAN 2025 (3-1), the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) revealed that a supporter of the Teranga Lions had lost her life in a road accident the day before. The latter intervened while the young woman was going to the Ibn-Batouta stadium in Tangier, the scene of the meeting.
“The Senegalese Football Federation has the deep sorrow to announce the reminder to God of Aïda Faye Samb, which occurred following a traffic accident on the Rabat-Kénitra axis,” confirmed the body in a press release posted on social networks, also sending “its sincere condolences to the grieving family, to their loved ones, as well as to the entire Senegalese football family.”
A student established in Morocco
Aïda Faye Samb was a Senegalese student based in Morocco. She is the only recorded victim of this accident.
