Other than the World Championships, India will also host the India Open Super 750 and the Syed Modi International Super 300. The Guwahati and Odisha Masters Super 100 tournaments are also scheduled in December.
Though the Super 100 tournaments are not considered part of the World Tour, they offer BWF World Tour ranking points, which help players qualify for the season-ending World Tour Finals.
Like last year, this season’s World Tour Finals will also be hosted by Hangzhou in the People’s Republic of China.
Indian shuttlers will also get to test their mettle in multiple team championships this year.
The Indian women’s team will be defending its Badminton Asia Championships crown this year in China’s Qingdao in early February, while looking to make a mark in the Uber Cup in Denmark.
The men’s team will also hope to recreate the magic from 2022 in the Thomas Cup this year.
Continental glory will be on the line at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya in Japan. India’s Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty are the reigning men’s doubles champions.
The Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow is scheduled in the July-August window but badminton is not a part of the programme this year.
