The rumor mill was running at full speed in Friesland at the beginning of this week: according to various media, skater Jutta Leerdam and her fiancé Jake Paul have made an offer of € 2.2 million for a vast estate in the Frisian Wouden. The story quickly gained traction after the villa appeared as ‘under offer’ on Funda and several platforms identified the couple as possible buyers. However, it is now clear that this is a persistent rumor, which is emphatically denied by the current owner.
Jutta Leerdam and Jake Paul are not the buyers of an extensive villa in Friesland
The alleged villa in question of Jutta Leerdam and Jake Paul is located in the village of Drogeham, in the middle of the scenic landscape of the Frisian Forests. The plot covers no less than 10,880 m² of private land and is surrounded by mature trees and water features, which ensures maximum privacy. The house itself offers approximately 450 m² of living space and is designed for spacious and comfortable living. With eight rooms, including five bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate toilet, the house is suitable for both living and working from home.
The villa has been thoroughly modernized in recent years. For example, the kitchen was renovated in 2022 and the bathrooms and painting have also recently been tackled. The house also has a large office, several hobby rooms and a double garage. The whole is ready to move in, without any immediate renovations being required. The house also scores high in terms of sustainability, with energy label A+++. A heat pump, underfloor heating, HR++ glass and 45 solar panels make the house remarkably energy efficient.

The outdoors also plays a major role. There are several sun terraces, a veranda and a heated swimming pool with pool house and sauna on the site. The estate therefore offers facilities that you would expect at exclusive locations abroad, but in the peace and quiet of the Frisian countryside.
Rumors are wrong
Yet the stories about Leerdam and Paul appear to be incorrect. The current owner, project developer Harm van der Bij of SHB Vastgoed, responded with surprise to the news in front of RTV NOF. He states that he knows exactly who made the offer and that this is a good acquaintance of his, who wants to live in the house himself. According to Van der Bij, there are no intermediaries or purchases on behalf of the famous couple. Jutta Leerdam’s mother also denied the deal on social media.

Van der Bij, who enjoyed living in Drogeham for many years, indicated that the house is for sale due to a move to nearby Surhuisterveen. With his statement he hopes to put an end to the persistent rumor, which has now spread like wildfire through the village.
