The Future Badminton Championship for juniors and youth started on Wednesday at Al-Ahli Club Hall in Sana’a, supervised by the Ministry of Youth , Sports , funded by the Youth and Children Sponsorship Fund.
The event celebrates Rajab Friday under the slogan: “Faith is Yemeni, and Wisdom is Yemeni.”
The tournament saw wide participation, with players showing advanced skills and strong performance. Ma’in Jarallah, President of the Badminton Federation, highlighted the event as a key platform for discovering talent and preparing a strong generation to represent Yemen.
Day 1 Results:
Round of 16: Ali Hajar, Abdullah Al-Ahdal, Khaled Dalil, Wissam Bakhta, Ahmed Dalil, Umair Abdul Karim, Hassan Al-Mahdi, Uday Raghib – all advanced.
Quarterfinals: Ali Hajar, Wissam Bakhta, Ahmed Dalil, Uday Raghib – winners.
Semifinals: Ali Hajar and Ahmed Dalil won their matches and will meet in the final tomorrow morning.
